About Kandy Steel
Based in Colorado, Dr. Kandy Steel is an educational consultant with a diverse background of educational and administrative experience. At present, Dr. Kandy Steel serves as a university mentor and liaison for the Center for Urban Education at the University of Northern Colorado, where she coordinates matters related to staff acquisition and student outreach.
Prior to this, she demonstrated her expertise as deputy superintendent for Adams County District 14 in Commerce City, Colorado, where she successfully lifted the school’s performance via educational and equity-based initiatives. During this time, she also aided in implementing state legislative requirements and led a number of professional development gatherings of staff and faculty. Dr. Kandy Steel previously worked as principal of Prairie Middle School, a part of Cherry Creek School District in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Kandy Steel holds a doctorate of education from the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based Nova Southeastern University. Furthermore, she earned a master of arts in educational administration at the University of Phoenix in Denver and a bachelor of arts in physical education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.Education
